  • You’re at the very early stages of planning you're wedding and you're not sure where to start

  • You haven’t found a venue or set a date yet

  • You haven't finalised your guest numbers yet and / or are struggling to reduce your future mother-in-law’s guest numbers ;-)

  • You may be feeling a little daunted by how much there is to do

  • You might also be feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed and / or panicked by the avalanche of opinions. options, and expectations surrounding you - from your parents to Pinterest to the Rabbi (and everything  / everyone in between).

You said yes. Hooray! You're engaged!

As fun as this stage as there can also seem like there’s A LOT to do… well actually there are only a few key things that need doing.

See below and implement the ONLY things you need to focus on when you're newly engaged.

If you have any questions, ask me inside the Facebook group and I’ll get them answered!

Action steps when you’re newly engaged

  • Figure out what's important to you both and what kind of wedding you really want (watch this video to work it out)

  • Come up with a wedding mission statement that you can keep coming back to (watch the first video below if you’re not sure what this means)

  • Devise your budget - watch this video to work it out and use our sample budget spreadsheet

  • Calculate your estimated final guest count (watch this to work it out) as this is key to finding a venue!

  • Decide whether or not you want a wedding planner (if you are considering it, these are the questions to ask them).

  • Know what's non-negotiable for the two of you when you walk into the first conversation with your parents (watch this video to work it out)

  • Go on venue show rounds (this is what to ask on a show round) and find your ideal venue (watch this to work it out).

Got any questions on your action steps? Ask me inside the Facebook group and I’ll get them answered!
